China Merchants Bank (CMB) credit card center vice GM Li Chaoyang recently told China Business News that CMB has a strict monitoring policy for Alibaba's online payment tool AliPay and money laundering via AliPay is impossible. CMB set limitations on AliPay transaction. Previous rumors claimed that many buyers and vendors are laundering money through AliPay and Alibaba's consumer-to-consumer (C2C) site Taobao.
